People who can do enough math are financially smart who seem to be financially successful early in age and that affects their personal lives — research shows these people have richer, happier lives, make better decisions, and are more responsible citizens. 

Those who have a strong math skill foundation will most likely earn higher college degrees  which will ultimately help them earn more than what those without it can earn. 

In short, helping our kids develop their intellect to the best of their ability starting from early math fluency is certainly not everything, but it is undoubtedly a gift to our children.

During my first parenting years of my first child, I was constantly looking for the best programs to invest his formative years in. On my quest, a friend of mine recommended abacus based mental math, and I did go for it for my first child. Both my husband and I soon became so impressed with the significant progress our son made in a short time. However, a couple of months later, we became overwhelmed as we felt that we both became full time teachers, teaching, and going through the tedious routine of photocopying materials, erasing and timing our son to make sure he’s progressing both in terms of accuracy and fluency. With Abacus Brain Gym, founded in Houston, Texas,  all my four kids can now practice their abacus math autonomously and enthusiastically on Abacus Explorer and/or AbacusMastermind practice software and participate in an international online competition on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis and see their names competing with the rest of the Abacus Brain Gym students around the world. 

As an educator that has more twenty six years of experience in the field of education and as a mother of four, I decided to devote my expertise to spreading such a great program in the Middle East countries. Such an interactive program and computer technology integrating system make abacus math more up to date and more compatible with the age of computer and technology. It also satisfies the need for competition and self- actualization for all participants through the easily accessible international online competition and our Hall of Fame platform.  Children in the Middle East deserve the best.
